KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance as Major Companies Show Variable Price Movements


Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index revealed varied movements in the closing prices of its constituent companies, with several major firms experiencing upward trends while others saw declines or no change. SamsungSecu closed at 49,900, marking an increase of 1,200, while SKTelecom witnessed a decline, closing at 53,400, down by 500.



According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai Elevator saw a significant rise, closing at 74,100 with an increase of 2,100. SAMSUNG SDS also experienced an upward movement, closing at 128,300, up by 900. Korea Aerospace and Coway both registered an increase of 1,300, closing at 83,000 and 82,600 respectively.



Meanwhile, KumhoTire edged up slightly by 5 to close at 4,815. Hanon Systems and SK remained unchanged, closing at 3,590 and 131,400 respectively. POSCO DX and SamsungE and A faced declines, closing at 25,100 and 18,960, down by 50 and 170 respectively.



Samsung C and T rose to 118,900 with an increase of 1,300, while PanOcean fell by 40 to close at 3,310. SAMSUNG CARD increased by 500, closing at 41,850, and KT saw a rise of 500 to close at 51,600.



LG Uplus and LG Display showed slight gains, closing at 11,960 and 8,530, up by 50 each. iM Financial Group rose by 540, closing at 10,190, while ORION Holdings climbed to 17,780 with an increase of 420.



In the financial sector, IBK and Dongsuh recorded increases, closing at 15,200 and 26,250, up by 270 and 300 respectively. LOTTE WELLFOOD also saw a rise, closing at 118,800 with an increase of 300.



Other notable movements include a rise for Doosan Enerbility and Doosanfc, closing at 28,900 and 15,480, up by 600 and 80 respectively. SeAH Steel Holdings and Daewoong also saw upward trends, closing at 228,500 and 20,450, up by 1,500 and 850 respectively.



However, KCC and NCsoft experienced declines, closing at 248,500 and 146,700, down by 1,000 and 4,000 respectively. On the other hand, SamyangFood and TaekwangInd saw significant rises, closing at 982,000 and 761,000, up by 33,000 and 34,000 respectively.



POSCO INTERNATIONAL, CJ CheilJedang, NAVER, and Kakao all recorded increases, with closing prices at 49,450, 238,000, 196,500, and 38,450, up by 250, 1,500, 1,000, and 400 respectively.
