Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed varied movements, with several major stocks experiencing declines. Kangwonland saw a minor increase, closing at 18,050 with a rise of 20. In contrast, NAVER and KIWOOM suffered significant losses, closing down by 3,000 and 4,000 respectively. Kakao also faced a downturn, ending the day with a decline of 1,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other notable declines included SamsungF and MIns, which dropped by 8,000, and NCsoft, which closed down 1,500. POSCO INTERNATIONAL and CJ CheilJedang also reported decreases, with falls of 1,000 and 2,000 respectively. SamyangFood experienced a substantial drop, closing down by 31,000, while KEPCO KPS fell by 400.
LG H and H and LGCHEM both saw declines, losing 3,000 and 4,000 respectively. KEPCO E and C and ShinhanGroup also ended lower, down by 1,400 and 800. LGELECTRONICS and L and F reported decreases of 1,300 and 3,700 respectively. Celltrion ended the day with a significant drop of 4,800.
Among the few gainers, HYUNDAI ROTEM closed up by 4,300, and KIH increased by 2,100. HYUNDAIGLOVIS recorded an impressive rise, gaining 9,100, while AMOREPACIFIC and Youngone Corp also saw increases, up by 300 and 1,200 respectively. However, several other companies, including HANAFINANCIALGR, POONGSAN, and KBFinancialGroup, experienced declines in their stock prices.
