Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index closed with a mixed performance, as several major companies experienced fluctuations in their stock prices. Among the notable changes, SKBP saw a decrease of 2,900, closing at 109,700, while HyundaiMtr experienced a significant drop of 7,500, ending the day at 211,500.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Hanwha Aerospace recorded one of the largest declines in the session, with its stock price dropping by 11,500 to close at 382,500. Meanwhile, POSCO Holdings and KumhoPetrochem also saw notable decreases, with declines of 2,000 and 1,400, respectively.
On the other hand, some companies experienced gains. SK Innovation rose by 1,200 to 128,800, while Poongsan increased by 1,600 to close at 56,000. Amorepacific also saw an upswing, with its stock rising by 1,700 to 124,600.
In addition to these shifts, SGBC and Shinsegae both recorded gains, with SGBC up by 1,400 to 84,200 and Shinsegae increasing by 800 to 133,100. Despite these gains, other companies such as HYUNDAIGLOVIS and KB Financial Group experienced declines, with decreases of 1,100 and 1,800, respectively.
