KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance with Notable Declines in Key Stocks

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index reflected a mixed performance as numerous prominent stocks experienced declines. Among the most significant were SK Innovation, which decreased by 5,100 to close at 128,800, and HD Hyundai Electric, which saw a reduction of 5,000, ending at 348,500. Other notable declines included HYUNDAIGLOVIS, falling by 3,000 to 138,100, and HanmiPharm, which dropped by 2,500 to 266,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, while declines were prevalent, some stocks managed to gain value. Noteworthy among these were Youngone Corp, increasing by 1,400 to 46,500, and SAMSUNG BIOLOGICS, which rose by 27,000 to reach 1,178,000. Additionally, HANWHA SYSTEMS experienced an upturn, closing 950 higher at 33,100.

Further details reveal other declines such as Meritz Financial dropping by 2,200 to 122,800, and Netmarble down by 1,750, closing at 44,750. Stocks like KRAFTON and ORION also saw decreases, with KRAFTON falling 2,000 to 325,000 and ORION down by 1,900 to 106,800.

In contrast, companies like AMOREPACIFIC and KOLMAR KOREA saw positive movement. AMOREPACIFIC closed 400 higher at 119,100, while KOLMAR KOREA increased by 300 to close at 58,000. Despite the overall decline in many stocks, a few companies managed to buck the trend, achieving gains amidst a challenging trading day.
