KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance With Notable Gains and Losses


Seoul: Monday’s trading session on the Korea Stock Exchange reflected a mix of gains and losses for KOSPI 200 stocks, showcasing varied movements among key players.



According to Yonhap News Agency, KIA Corporation saw a decline, closing at 101,700 KRW, down 4,200 KRW. Hyundai Glovis also experienced a drop, ending at 183,300 KRW, a decrease of 4,800 KRW.



Hana Financial Group and Hanwha Life, however, showed positive trends. Hana Financial Group’s stock rose by 2,200 KRW to 90,900 KRW, while Hanwha Life increased by 170 KRW, closing at 3,525 KRW. Amorepacific also saw an increase, ending the day at 122,500 KRW, up by 400 KRW.



HD Hyundai recorded a significant rise of 15,800 KRW, closing at 164,300 KRW. Meanwhile, SK Innovation’s stock decreased by 900 KRW, closing at 107,000 KRW, and Samyang Food fell by 18,000 KRW to 1,598,000 KRW. POSCO International and Poongsan experienced upward trends, with increases of 300 KRW and 4,000 KRW, closing at 50,600 KRW and 130,500 KRW, respectively.



Other notable movements included KB Financial Group rising by 300 KRW to 119,600 KRW, and Youngone Corporation increasing by 3,000 KRW to 62,600 KRW. CS Wind and GKL saw declines, with CS Wind down by 300 KRW to 44,850 KRW, and GKL decreasing by 310 KRW to 16,270 KRW.



In the financial sector, BNK Financial Group rose by 90 KRW to 15,600 KRW, and iM Financial Group experienced an increase of 570 KRW, closing at 14,860 KRW. Emart saw a rise of 1,000 KRW, closing at 77,900 KRW. On the other hand, Hankook Tire and Technology fell by 1,250 KRW, closing at 39,500 KRW, while JB Financial Group decreased by 300 KRW to 24,600 KRW.



The session also highlighted significant gains for Hanjin Kal, which rose by 8,700 KRW to 119,400 KRW, and Hanmi Pharm, which increased by 3,000 KRW, closing at 299,000 KRW. Meanwhile, HYBE and Krafton recorded losses, with HYBE down by 5,500 KRW to 286,500 KRW, and Krafton decreasing by 1,000 KRW to 321,500 KRW.
