Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mixture of rises and falls as various companies experienced fluctuations in their stock prices. Notably, Hanwha Aerospace saw an increase of 4,000, closing at 945,000. Hanchem also posted gains, rising by 2,900 to reach 176,900.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the tech sector witnessed significant movements, with Samsung Electronics and Affiliates seeing mixed results. SamsungSecu gained 800, closing at 72,400, while Samsung SDS dropped by 800, ending at 159,600. LG Display experienced an increase of 830, bringing its closing price to 10,050.
In the telecommunications sector, SK Telecom remained stable at 55,500, while LG Uplus saw an uptick of 80, closing at 14,670. However, KT's stock fell by 500, closing at 55,900.
The aerospace sector experienced positive outcomes, highlighted by Korea Aerospace's rise of 200, closing at 92,800. Meanwhile, Doosan Enerbility gained 500, ending at 65,900.
In other sectors, KEPCO's stock improved by 500, reaching 38,450, while KEPCO KPS experienced a slight decline of 200, closing at 51,300. POSCO International and LG H and H saw declines of 100 and 2,000 respectively, closing at 54,700 and 327,000.
Retail and food companies showed varied performances, with Lotte Shopping falling by 500 to 72,300, and SamyangFood posting a significant gain of 15,000, closing at 1,338,000. CJ CheilJedang also saw an increase of 500, closing at 249,000.
Lastly, the financial sector noted declines, with IBK dropping by 400 to 19,850, and Samsung Card decreasing by 700, closing at 52,600.
