Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index exhibited a varied performance in its latest trading session, with several companies experiencing notable gains and losses. Among the gainers, LS saw a significant increase, closing at 111,100, up by 7,800 points. Another major mover, SK hynix, ended the session at 210,000, marking an increase of 11,800 points. SamsungF and MIns also reported a substantial rise, closing at 370,000 with an increase of 12,000 points.
According to Yonhap News Agency, several other companies contributed to the upward trend. POSCO Holdings experienced a rise, closing at 262,000, up by 5,000 points, while Yuhan ended at 136,000, marking an increase of 4,900 points. GC Corp closed at 161,500, with a gain of 4,800 points. SAMSUNG SDI CO.,LTD. and KumhoPetrochem also recorded gains, closing at 234,500 and 94,400, up by 3,000 and 1,900 points, respectively. In addition, Kolmar Korea ended the session at 59,800, with an increase of 3,400 points.
In contrast, some companies on the index faced declines. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries saw a significant decrease, closing at 312,500, down by 1,500 points. Mobis and Hanwha Aerospace both experienced losses, each closing at 252,500 and 394,000, with a decrease of 1,000 points. S-1 also ended in the negative, closing at 60,500, down by 1,000 points. Another notable decline was seen in Hankook Tire and Technology, which closed at 39,700, down by 1,100 points.
Overall, the session highlighted a mixed performance across the KOSPI 200, with some companies achieving significant gains while others faced notable declines.
