Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a blend of gains and losses as several key players saw their stock prices fluctuate. Notably, Hankook Tire and Technology experienced an upward movement, closing at 407,000 with an increase of 1,300. Meanwhile, Kolmar Korea also reported a rise, ending at 66,700, an increase of 1,900.
According to Yonhap News Agency, DoubleUGames saw a notable increase, with its stock price climbing to 50,300, marking an uptick of 2,700. COSMAX also enjoyed a positive day, closing at 184,900, up by 6,100. On the other hand, Samsung Biologics faced a decline, closing at 1,053,000, down by 26,000. PIAM and HanjinKAL also saw decreases, closing at 18,580 and 82,700, down by 330 and 300 respectively.
HL Mando showed a positive trend, closing at 41,500, up by 450. NHIS and SGBC also experienced gains, closing at 14,730 and 70,000, up by 130 and 300, respectively. In contrast, Samsung Electronics faced a decrease, closing at 54,700, down by 200. CosmoAM and T and Shinsegae also saw declines, ending at 48,200 and 154,900, down by 1,300 and 500, respectively.
SKSQUARE ended the day positively at 92,200, up by 200, while LotteChilsung faced a downturn, closing at 107,200, down by 900. TCC Steel and HanaTour Service also experienced declines, closing at 27,300 and 57,100, down by 850 and 100, respectively. Hana Financial Group and SD Biosensor reported gains, closing at 61,600 and 10,100, up by 1,100 and 220, respectively.
The market also saw a decline in the stock prices of POSCO Holdings and DB Insurance, closing at 312,500 and 96,100, down by 1,500 and 1,100, respectively. Kakao and Daesang's stocks also dropped, ending at 43,150 and 24,500, down by 950 and 200, respectively. Other notable declines included KCC, SKBP, and Doosan Bobcat.
Conversely, HITEJINRO and Netmarble experienced gains, closing at 19,370 and 40,400, up by 320 and 1,150, respectively. KRAFTON saw a significant rise, ending at 358,000, up by 12,500. HD Hyundai and Orion also reported gains, closing at 75,100 and 108,800, up by 100 and 600, respectively.
In the energy sector, HD Hyundai Electric saw a decline, closing at 330,500, down by 11,000. ILJIN HYSOLUS and Hanwha Systems also ended the day negatively, closing at 14,470 and 35,050, down by 70 and 200, respectively. APR and BGF Retail reported gains, while SKCHEM and Hyosung TNC experienced declines, reflecting the mixed performance across the KOSPI 200 index.
