Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a range of movements in its closing prices, with significant gains observed in the aerospace and petrochemical sectors. Among the top performers, Kumho Petrochemicals saw an increase of 7,100, closing at 122,500, while Hanwha Aerospace jumped by 35,000 to close at 850,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies also experienced upward trends. Mobis increased by 4,500, closing at 309,500, and SK advanced by 15,000, reaching 224,000. Samsung SDS and Samsung C and T recorded gains of 2,200 and 4,100, closing at 166,500 and 170,700, respectively.
In contrast, some companies faced declines. Hanchem saw a decrease of 1,200, finishing at 168,800, while KEPCO dropped by 1,100 to close at 37,550. NAVER and NCsoft also experienced drops, closing at 254,000 and 207,500, respectively.
Despite these fluctuations, the market showed a mix of upward and downward movements. Companies like Lotte Shopping and KT and G managed to secure gains, closing at 79,600 and 137,400, respectively. Meanwhile, others such as Doosan Enerbility and Kakao faced declines, closing at 64,400 and 60,500, respectively.
