Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed significant shifts in its closing prices, with several key companies experiencing notable gains and declines. Among the prominent movers, SK recorded a substantial increase, closing at 169,500, which is up by 13,300. KIWOOM also marked a significant rise, closing at 160,400, up by 10,300.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies that saw notable increases include LOTTE WELLFOOD, which rose by 8,300 to close at 122,700, and LGCHEM, which increased by 5,400 to finish at 199,300. SAMSUNG C and T and Doosan Enerbility also posted increases, with SAMSUNG C and T rising by 3,300 to 154,500, and Doosan Enerbility gaining 2,400 to close at 42,200.
On the other hand, some companies experienced declines. SKTelecom saw a decrease of 400, closing at 51,300, while Hyundai Elevator dropped by 600 to 75,000. HANMISemi and KEPCO KPS also faced downturns, with HANMISemi dropping by 1,100 to 83,300 and KEPCO KPS falling by 150 to 43,600.
