KOSPI 200 Sees Predominant Decline in Closing Prices

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 experienced a notable downturn as the majority of stocks closed lower. Key companies such as NCsoft, Hanwha Ocean, and Celltrion saw their prices drop significantly, contributing to the overall decline.

According to Yonhap News Agency, NCsoft's closing price fell by 200 to reach 161,600, while Hanwha Ocean experienced a decrease of 2,900, settling at 67,500. Celltrion's shares also dropped by 4,200, closing at 181,200. Other significant declines included COSMAX, which fell by 3,600 to 172,000, and SK Innovation, which dropped by 4,100 to 121,900.

The report highlighted some positive performances amid the downturn. LG H and H saw an increase of 4,000, closing at 329,000, and Hyundai Department Store rose by 2,700 to end at 59,300. DWEC and JB Financial Group also registered slight gains, rising by 5 and 40, respectively.

Despite these gains, several other companies faced declines. LIG Nex1 dropped by 5,000 to 249,000, while LGCHEM fell by 3,000 to 269,000. Hyundai Glovis recorded a significant decrease of 5,900, closing at 122,100. Overall, the market reflected a downward trend, with only a few companies managing to buck the trend.
