Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a day of significant gains as several key stocks experienced notable fluctuations. Among the top gainers, SK hynix saw a substantial increase, closing at 181,000, up by 7,200. Other notable performers included HANMISemi, which rose by 10,700 to reach 85,600, and SKSQUARE, climbing 3,800 to close at 85,500.
According to Yonhap News Agency, several other companies also contributed to the positive momentum on the KOSPI 200. HANJINKAL increased by 3,100, closing at 82,700, while HL MANDO saw a rise of 1,550, ending at 36,550. The gaming sector also showed strength with DoubleUGames increasing by 800 to finish at 55,100.
Despite the overall upward trend, some stocks faced declines. Samsung Biologics fell by 9,000, closing at 1,066,000, and KRAFTON declined by 5,500, ending at 373,500. In the energy sector, HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC decreased by 3,500 to settle at 297,500.
The retail and construction sectors also showed positive activity. BGF Retail increased by 300 to reach 104,300, and HyundaiEng and Const rose by 150, closing at 38,450. Meanwhile, the financial sector saw KakaoBank climb by 450 to finish at 21,600.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 index exhibited a robust performance with several notable movements, reflecting a dynamic trading session.
