Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a mix of gains and losses among its constituents, with Celltrion and NCsoft emerging as prominent gainers. Several companies experienced significant stock price fluctuations, impacting the overall performance of the index.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Celltrion recorded a substantial increase of 15,200, closing at 189,300. This marked the most significant gain among the listed companies. NCsoft also saw a notable rise, with its stock price climbing by 4,600 to settle at 178,400.
Other companies that experienced gains include NAVER, which rose by 3,000 to reach 231,500, and Kakao, which increased by 2,350, closing at 42,100. HyundaiElev's shares went up by 1,600, ending the session at 56,600. ShinhanGroup also recorded a rise, with its stock price up by 1,200, closing at 47,550.
On the contrary, several stocks saw declines in their prices. Hanwha Ocean experienced a drop of 2,700, closing at 72,500. Hyundai Rotem fell by 3,500, ending at 85,600, while SamyangFood saw a decrease of 3,000, closing at 876,000. LOTTE SHOPPING's shares dropped by 1,100, closing at 64,000.
