Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index showcased a mixture of gains and losses across various sectors, with financial institutions and industrial companies drawing attention. Notable movements were observed in both upward and downward directions, reflecting a dynamic trading session.
According to Yonhap News Agency, among the gainers, Meritz Financial led the financial sector with an increase of 800 points, closing at 126,500. In the industrial sector, KCC saw a significant rise of 5,000 points, ending at 398,000. Similarly, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries experienced a notable surge of 17,000 points, closing at 520,000.
In contrast, several stocks faced declines. Samsung Biologics dropped by 11,000 points, settling at 1,001,000. LG Energy Solution also recorded a decrease, falling by 12,000 points to close at 352,000. Krafton, a key player in the gaming industry, saw a decline of 4,500 points, finishing at 327,500.
Other significant movements included APR's increase of 3,500 points to 227,000 and LS advancing by 4,400 points, closing at 177,600. On the downside, Netmarble fell by 1,300 points to 59,900, and HD Hyundai Electric decreased by 1,500 points, ending at 492,500.
The trading session highlighted the volatility in the market as investors reacted to various factors influencing the financial and industrial sectors.
