Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index observed a mixed performance as trading closed, with several companies experiencing notable changes in their stock prices. Samsung Electronics led the gainers, seeing an increase of 2,900 to close at 79,400. Meanwhile, KPIC reported the most significant drop, with a decline of 5,300, bringing its closing price to 113,500.
According to Yonhap News Agency, technology and construction sectors showed varied results. Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. saw a rise of 2,500, closing at 204,000, while GS E and C experienced a modest increase of 110, ending at 19,570. In contrast, HD Hyundai observed a decrease of 3,900, closing at 160,400, and HD Hyundai Electric's price remained unchanged at 594,000.
Entertainment and gaming sectors reflected mixed outcomes. Netmarble's stock rose by 1,300, reaching 63,500, while KRAFTON's price dropped by 3,000, closing at 318,500. Similarly, DoubleUGames faced a decline of 1,000, ending at 54,500.
The financial sector also saw fluctuations. Meritz Financial's stock decreased by 2,600, closing at 123,600, while BNK Financial Group saw a decline of 250, bringing its price to 15,350. JB Financial Group's stock remained stable at 24,600.
In other sectors, companies like Doosan Enerbility and NAVER experienced gains, closing up by 4,500 and 1,000 at 63,300 and 235,000, respectively, while Samsung Biologics witnessed a decrease of 4,000, ending at 1,036,000.
