KOSPI 200 Sees Varied Trends with Notable Gains and Losses

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mix of upward and downward trends in its latest closing prices. Major financial firms such as Meritz Financial and BNK Financial Group saw increases, with Meritz Financial closing at 114,200, up by 1,000, and BNK Financial Group at 9,970, up by 170. Similarly, iM Financial Group registered an increase, closing at 9,180, up by 290.

According to Yonhap News Agency, retail and technology sectors experienced mixed results. Emart registered a significant rise, closing at 87,500, up by 1,400, while DoubleUGames also saw an increase, closing at 52,900, up by 200. On the other hand, KOLMAR KOREA experienced a decline, closing at 72,400, down by 600, and PIAM dropped to 16,510, down by 60.

The technology giant Samsung Biologics closed at 1,034,000, down by 4,000, indicating a decrease in its stock value. The gaming company KRAFTON also faced a decline, closing at 369,000, down by 6,500. Meanwhile, Doosan Bobcat showed an upward trend, closing at 44,100, up by 850.

In the energy sector, HD Hyundai Electric saw a substantial increase, closing at 321,000, up by 14,000. However, HD Hyundai showed a moderate increase, closing at 71,300, up by 300. The chemical sector also witnessed a mix, with OCI closing at 54,500, up by 1,100, while ISUSPECIALTYCHEMICAL fell to 41,600, down by 1,100.

Other notable movements included Hanwha Systems closing at 38,850, up by 300, and KakaoBank rising to 20,850, up by 200. Conversely, APR and BGF Retail experienced declines, closing at 65,800, down by 1,800, and 104,600, down by 1,300, respectively.
