Seoul: The latest KOSPI 200 closing prices reveal a mixed performance among major companies, with some experiencing gains while others saw declines. Among the notable movements, Samsung Electronics ended the day with a decrease of 1,000, closing at 59,800, while NHIS gained 70 to reach 19,990.
According to Yonhap News Agency, LS made significant strides with an increase of 10,700, bringing its closing price to 197,000. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries also performed well, rising by 6,500 to reach 428,500. Meanwhile, Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. saw an increase of 3,100, closing at 172,800.
In contrast, SKC faced a drop of 2,200, settling at 110,200, while Korea Zinc experienced a notable decline of 25,000, closing at 819,000. Hanwha Aerospace also saw a significant decrease, dropping by 42,000 to end at 848,000.
The energy and construction sectors showed some positive movements. GS E and C fell by 550 to 20,750, but Kogas rose by 1,800 to reach 41,650. LS Electric experienced a rise of 14,000, closing at 299,000, and HD Hyundai Mipo gained 11,900, reaching a closing price of 211,000.
