KOSPI 200 Stock Performance Sees Mixed Results on Korea Stock Exchange

Seoul: Friday's trading session on the Korea Stock Exchange showcased a varied performance among KOSPI 200 stocks, with both gains and losses recorded across different sectors. Several major companies experienced notable changes in their closing prices by the end of the trading day.

According to Yonhap News Agency, SK hynix saw an increase, closing at 200,000 KRW, up by 3,100 KRW. Hyundai Engineering and Construction also recorded a significant rise of 5,650 KRW, closing at 54,200 KRW. Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance experienced an upward movement, closing at 380,000 KRW, which is an increase of 16,500 KRW. Other companies like Kogas and Hanwha saw smaller gains, closing at 39,000 KRW and 50,600 KRW, respectively.

On the other hand, some stocks faced declines. CJ's closing price fell by 2,100 KRW, ending at 124,300 KRW. KIA Corporation also saw a decrease, closing at 87,100 KRW, down by 2,100 KRW. POSCO Future M and Hyundai Motor both experienced losses, closing at 100,100 KRW and 179,900 KRW, respectively.

In the broader market, Taekwang Industry recorded a substantial increase of 56,000 KRW, closing at 845,000 KRW. Nongshim and GS Engineering and Construction also ended the day on a positive note, with Nongshim increasing by 8,000 KRW to 431,000 KRW, and GS Engineering and Construction rising by 1,470 KRW to close at 20,500 KRW.

Conversely, stocks like POSCO Holdings and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries faced decreases, closing at 233,500 KRW and 389,000 KRW, respectively. Samsung Electronics also experienced a slight decline, closing at 54,200 KRW, down by 500 KRW. Overall, the trading session reflected a mixture of both upward and downward trends among the KOSPI 200 stocks.
