Seoul: Wednesday's closing prices on the KOSPI 200 index showed a varied performance among stocks on the main Korea Stock Exchange. Key players such as SK hynix and Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. saw significant gains, while companies like Doosan and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries faced declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SK hynix closed at 208,000 KRW, marking an increase of 5,500 KRW. Similarly, Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. saw a substantial rise of 13,900 KRW, ending the day at 174,100 KRW. Meanwhile, LS and LG Energy Solution also reported notable gains, increasing by 6,500 KRW and 16,500 KRW, closing at 154,200 KRW and 289,000 KRW, respectively.
On the other hand, Doosan experienced a decrease, closing at 469,500 KRW, down by 4,500 KRW. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries faced a significant drop of 14,500 KRW, with a closing price of 397,500 KRW. Additionally, Hyosung Heavy and GC Corp saw decreases, ending the day 15,000 KRW and 1,200 KRW lower, respectively.
Despite some declines, several companies reported positive movements. CJ Logistics and TCC Steel increased by 700 KRW and 1,270 KRW, closing at 80,500 KRW and 17,730 KRW, respectively. Other gainers included Hyundai M and F Insurance, GS E and C, and SLCORP, which saw increases ranging from 350 KRW to 1,600 KRW.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 index reflected a mixture of gains and losses, indicating varied investor sentiment across different sectors and companies on the Korea Stock Exchange.
