Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed widespread gains as numerous companies reported an increase in their stock prices at the market's close. Among the notable performers, LG Energy Solution saw a significant rise, closing at 349,000, up by 17,000. Similarly, Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. experienced a substantial increase, with its stock price jumping to 190,400, up by 13,100.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies that recorded notable gains include Mobis, which saw its stock price rise to 252,000, an increase of 11,000, and LS Electric, which climbed to 180,500, up by 7,900. SKC also reported a notable increase, with its price reaching 101,900, up by 7,400.
The report also highlighted that HD Hyundai Mipo and Samsung F and M Insurance saw their prices rise to 137,700 and 361,000, respectively, up by 4,100 and 4,000. Meanwhile, LS and SamsungElecMech also showed significant increases in their stock values, closing at 121,800 and 122,400, respectively.
Despite the general uptrend, a few companies experienced declines. Hanwha Aerospace's stock price fell to 814,000, down by 16,000, and KorZinc reported a decrease, closing at 706,000, down by 6,000. S-1 also saw a minor decline, with its stock price falling to 63,000, down by 300.
The overall market sentiment remained positive with several companies seeing substantial gains, reflecting a robust performance across various sectors.
