Seoul: Friday's trading session on the Korea Stock Exchange saw varied movements in the KOSPI 200 stocks, with several companies experiencing declines while a few recorded gains.
According to Yonhap News Agency, major players such as SK hynix and SamsungF and MIns faced significant downturns with SK hynix dropping by 8,000 KRW to close at 270,500 KRW, and SamsungF and MIns declining by 8,500 KRW to end the session at 432,500 KRW. Other notable decreases included HyundaiEng and Const, which fell by 2,400 KRW to 71,300 KRW, and HyundaiMtr, which decreased by 4,000 KRW to 210,500 KRW.
On the other hand, some companies managed to close in the green. Kogas saw a notable rise, increasing by 3,550 KRW to 47,350 KRW. POSCO INTERNATIONAL and TaekwangInd also reported gains, with POSCO INTERNATIONAL up by 1,000 KRW to 52,000 KRW and TaekwangInd climbing 15,000 KRW to 1,044,000 KRW. POSCO Holdings followed suit with a rise of 4,500 KRW, closing at 316,500 KRW.
The session highlighted a diverse performance within the KOSPI 200, with declines from companies such as Hanwha, which fell by 6,600 KRW to 84,000 KRW, and Nongshim, which decreased by 9,000 KRW to 395,500 KRW. Meanwhile, some stocks like DB INSURANCE remained unchanged at 123,400 KRW.
