Seoul: Thursday's closing prices on the Korea Stock Exchange saw significant movements in KOSPI 200 stocks, with notable gains in several key companies. Doosan's stock price soared to 510,000 KRW, marking an increase of 40,500 KRW. Similarly, DL's stock rose by 3,300 KRW, closing at 46,100 KRW. KIA Corp. experienced an upswing of 4,200 KRW, reaching 93,200 KRW.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies also recorded upward trends. LotteChilsung's stock climbed by 2,800 KRW to close at 106,500 KRW, while Hyundai Motor reported a significant rise, adding 5,100 KRW to end at 191,000 KRW. SeAH Steel Holdings saw its stock increase by 3,500 KRW, closing at 238,500 KRW. In contrast, TCC STEEL and SamyangFood experienced declines, with their stock prices dropping by 200 KRW and 5,000 KRW, respectively.
POSCO Holdings and Hyundai Heavy Industries also witnessed notable gains. POSCO Holdings' stock increased by 5,000 KRW to 254,500 KRW, while Hyundai Heavy Industries saw an 8,000 KRW rise, closing at 405,500 KRW. Other companies such as LG Corp. and Nongshim reported gains of 4,800 KRW and 4,000 KRW, respectively.
Despite the general upward trend, some companies faced declines. POSCO FUTURE M's stock decreased by 700 KRW, closing at 113,400 KRW, and SamaAlum fell by 270 KRW to 19,610 KRW. Overall, the KOSPI 200 stocks showed varied movements, reflecting fluctuating market conditions.
