Seoul: Monday's trading session on the Korea Stock Exchange saw varied movements in the KOSPI 200 stocks, with several companies experiencing gains while others faced declines. Among the gainers, Doosan recorded a significant rise, closing at KRW 357,500, up by 12,500. Hyundai Motor also saw a notable increase, ending the day at KRW 195,800, up by 5,900. Taekwang Industrial led the advances with a substantial climb of 30,000, closing at KRW 855,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other notable gainers included Shinsegae, which rose by 9,800 to close at KRW 172,700, and POSCO Future M, which increased by 2,700 to reach KRW 123,200. Lotte Chilsung and Hyundai Steel also showed positive movements, rising by 1,700 and 1,550, respectively.
However, several stocks experienced declines. Hyundai Rotem saw the largest drop, falling by 17,100 to close at KRW 108,300. Samyang Food also faced a significant decrease, ending at KRW 946,000, down by 47,000. Nongshim and Yuhan were among the other decliners, with Nongshim dropping by 12,500 to KRW 411,500 and Yuhan decreasing by 2,200 to KRW 105,000.
The trading session highlighted the mixed performance of various sectors, reflecting the dynamic nature of market conditions. Despite some stocks experiencing downturns, the overall market sentiment demonstrated resilience with several companies achieving positive results.
