KOSPI 200 Stocks See Mixed Results with Notable Gains and Losses

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index closed with a mix of gains and losses on Friday as several key stocks on the main Korea Stock Exchange showed varied performance. Samsung Electronics and A saw a rise of 500 KRW, ending at 28,250 KRW, while Samsung C and T increased by 700 KRW, closing at 175,000 KRW. Notably, SK shares surged by 2,000 KRW to reach 206,500 KRW, and NAVER rose by the same amount to finish at 229,000 KRW. Among the biggest gainers was SK hynix, which climbed 8,000 KRW to 273,500 KRW.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other significant movements included Samsung Life, which increased by 900 KRW to 149,900 KRW, and SamsungF and MIns, which saw a strong rise of 4,500 KRW, closing at 457,500 KRW. On the downside, Hanwha Ocean experienced a substantial decrease of 6,400 KRW, ending at 112,500 KRW. LOTTE WELLFOOD and KT and G also faced declines, dropping by 1,600 KRW and 1,000 KRW, respectively.

The report highlights that LG Uplus and Doosan Enerbility both recorded losses, with LG Uplus down 160 KRW to 14,370 KRW and Doosan Enerbility falling by 1,000 KRW to 61,800 KRW. In contrast, LG H and H and CJ LOGISTICS posted gains, rising by 2,500 KRW and 1,000 KRW, respectively. The mixed performance across the KOSPI 200 stocks reflects the varied market conditions impacting different sectors.
