Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of mixed movements with notable gains in several companies. Leading the upward trend was LGCHEM, which saw an increase of 8,500, closing at 224,000. SK Innovation also had a significant rise, ending the day at 95,700, up by 3,600.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies that experienced gains included KIWOOM, which rose by 1,200 to close at 127,300, and L and F, which increased by 7,300, finishing at 66,700. ShinhanGroup also saw an increase, closing at 48,900, up by 450. Meanwhile, HYUNDAIGLOVIS rose by 2,900 to close at 115,100, and KBFinancialGroup increased by 1,600, ending at 85,000.
In contrast, some companies faced declines. HYUNDAI ROTEM experienced the most significant drop, falling by 5,300 to close at 111,500. HYUNDAIDEPTST saw a decrease of 1,400, ending the day at 56,300, and emart dropped by 1,900 to close at 86,400.
Other notable performances included HanmiPharm, which rose by 2,500 to close at 242,000, and Meritz Financial, which increased by 1,900, closing at 119,700. Despite the mixed performance, the KOSPI 200 index reflected resilience with a majority of stocks showing upward momentum.
