Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a day of mixed performances as various companies reported both gains and losses in their closing stock prices. Noteworthy movements included several companies experiencing substantial price changes, reflecting the dynamic nature of the stock market.
According to Yonhap News Agency, HD Hyundai Mipo recorded a decrease of 5,100, closing at 166,800, while Hanwha Aerospace saw a notable decline of 58,000, closing at 820,000. Korea Aerospace also faced a significant drop, with a decrease of 6,400, closing at 86,700.
On the other hand, several companies experienced gains. LG Innotek reported an increase of 11,000, closing at 149,500. Lotte Chemical Corporation saw a rise of 3,300, closing at 65,100, and HMM increased by 1,120, closing at 19,280. In the technology sector, Samsung SDS saw an increase of 2,000, closing at 131,000.
Other companies that posted gains included KumhoPetrochem with an increase of 1,500, closing at 115,300, and Mobis which rose by 5,500, closing at 261,000. S-Oil also reported an increase, up by 300, closing at 52,400.
Conversely, some companies faced downtrends. KEPCO saw a slight decrease of 50, closing at 26,900, while KT experienced a decline of 700, closing at 50,800. Hyundai Elevator and DongSuh also reported declines in their stock prices.
The day's trading reflects the volatility and the varying performance of companies within the KOSPI 200, highlighting the ever-changing landscape of the South Korean stock market.
