Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed mixed results as stocks closed with both gains and losses. Notable movements were seen among prominent companies, reflecting varied performance across sectors.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Doosan Bobcat ended the trading day at 55,500, experiencing a decline of 1,700. Netmarble, in contrast, increased by 1,200 to reach 62,200. KRAFTON saw a significant rise, closing at 337,500 with an uptick of 7,500. HD Hyundai's stock price climbed by 1,600 to settle at 132,600, while HD Hyundai Electric rose by 1,000 to close at 501,000. Orion's stock also increased, ending the day at 107,500 with a gain of 1,400.
Meanwhile, several stocks experienced declines. Hanwha Systems fell by 1,500 to 51,700, and APR decreased by 500 to reach 225,500. BGF Retail's price dropped by 100 to close at 120,000. In a similar trend, HanilCMT and WooriFinancialGroup both saw their prices decline, with HanilCMT falling by 210 to 19,060 and WooriFinancialGroup decreasing by 350 to 24,650.
On the other hand, TaekwangInd registered a significant gain, rising by 9,000 to reach 913,000. LOTTE Fine Chem closed at 43,000, marking an increase of 750, and Hyundai Steel rose by 300 to 32,750. Other notable declines included POSCO Holdings, which fell by 7,500 to 298,500, and SamsungElec, which decreased by 1,200 to 70,300.
