The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose one-point-41 points, or zero-point-05 percent, on Tuesday, closing the day at two-thousand-746-point-47.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ fell, however, losing four-point-13 points, or zero-point-46 percent, to close at 895-point-27.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened three won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-197-point-seven won.
