The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 20-point-17 points, or zero-point-84 percent, on Tuesday, closing the day at two-thousand-422-point-09.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ fell, however, losing one-point-09 points, or zero-point-14 percent, to close at 769-point-51.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened three-point-one won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-283-point-four won.
