The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell four-point-29 points, or zero-point-17 percent, on Wednesday, closing the day at two-thousand-592-point-27.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ rose however, gaining ten-point-20 points, or one-point-19 percent, to close at 866-point-34.
On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened one-point-one won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-275-point-three won.
