Seoul: The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced plans to advance its export support system for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) technology. This initiative is set to improve the full-cycle export support process by 2028, focusing on data collection and analysis to provide customized services for clients.
According to Yonhap News Agency, KOTRA will work on achieving AI-based customer service innovation, building a data-driven AI transformation ecosystem, and establishing a sustainable governance framework. These efforts aim to better connect exporting SMEs with potential buyers, enhancing their global competitiveness.
KOTRA President Kang Kyung-sung emphasized the role of digital innovation in the agency's future plans. "Through digital innovation powered by AI, we will serve as a smart assistant and reliable partner for export firms," he stated in a press release. This move highlights KOTRA's commitment to supporting SMEs through advanced technological solutions.
