Krafton Launches PUBG Global Series 8 Esports Tournament in Shanghai

Shanghai: South Korean gaming company Krafton Inc. announced the commencement of the PUBG Global Series 8, an international esports tournament for PUBG: Battlegrounds, in Shanghai. This event will run until Sunday and features 24 of the world's leading professional PUBG teams competing in two events.

According to Yonhap News Agency, five teams from South Korea, including DN Freecs, Gen.G, and T1, are participating in the tournament, which offers a total prize pool of $300,000. The team that emerges victorious is set to receive a $100,000 reward. Additionally, the top four teams will earn the opportunity to compete in the PUBG Global Championship 2025, the premier international event for the game scheduled for later this year.

All matches from the PUBG Global Series 8 are being streamed live on the official YouTube channel of PUBG Esports. Fans can also watch the competition through various online platforms, such as Chzzk, Soop, and Naver TV.
