Seoul: KT Corp. announced a strategic partnership with Kyndryl Holdings Inc., a leading U.S.-based IT infrastructure services provider, to advance the artificial intelligence (AI) transformation sector. This collaboration aims to leverage KT's telecommunications expertise alongside Kyndryl's global project execution capabilities to tackle AI, cloud, and security projects, specifically targeting business-to-business (B2B) customers in South Korea.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the two companies will conduct joint research to develop security frameworks that facilitate AI transformation projects in regulated industries, such as finance and public services. This partnership also includes initiatives for enhancing the AI capabilities of KT employees and modernizing the company's IT systems.
Kyndryl, which was spun off from IBM's infrastructure services division in 2021, is known for executing large-scale information system projects and providing IT infrastructure services to corporate clients across more than 60 countries.
