Laotian President Thongloun Sisoulith to Visit North Korea for Workers’ Party Anniversary


Pyongyang: Laotian President Thongloun Sisoulith is set to visit North Korea in commemoration of the 80th founding anniversary of the ruling Workers’ Party of Korea. This visit was reported by state media on Thursday.



According to Yonhap News Agency, President Sisoulith has accepted an invitation from North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. His visit marks him as the first foreign guest confirmed to attend the significant party anniversary.



The anniversary is anticipated to be marked by a large-scale military parade, reflecting the importance of the event in North Korea’s political calendar.
