Seoul: L and F Co., a South Korean battery materials manufacturer, on Wednesday reported its second-quarter net loss of 112.6 billion won (US$81.4 million), continuing its financial struggles compared to a year ago. The company revealed in a regulatory filing that it encountered ongoing operational challenges, resulting in an operating loss of 121.2 billion won for the April-June period. This is a stark contrast to the operating loss of 84.2 billion won recorded during the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, L and F Co. also experienced a decline in revenue, which fell 6.3 percent to 520.1 billion won. These figures underscore the company's ongoing efforts to navigate the financial difficulties it has faced over recent quarters. The continued losses highlight the challenges within the battery materials sector and the need for strategic adjustments to improve profitability in the coming quarters.
