SEOUL: LG Chem Ltd., South Korea's leading chemical company, has announced its entry into the Canadian dermal filler market, marking a significant step in its strategy to diversify its business operations. The company has launched its hyaluronic acid fillers under the YVOIRE brand, aiming to capitalize on the increasing demand for Korean medical aesthetic products in North America.According to Yonhap News Agency, LG Chem is the first Korean company to introduce dermal filler products in Canada, which the company views as a strategic hub in North America. The launch is part of LG Chem's broader initiative to expand its presence in the global market, currently exporting YVOIRE products to seven countries, including Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina.The Canadian dermal filler market is projected to experience substantial growth, with market size expected to increase from 400 billion won (approximately US$279 million) in 2023 to 700 billion won by 2030. LG Chem's entry into this market underscores its commitment to tapping into this growth trajectory and establishing a foothold in the North American region.
