Seoul: LG Energy Solution on Monday estimated its first-quarter operating profit at 374.7 billion won (US$255 million), marking a significant increase of 138.2 percent from the same period last year. The company also reported a revenue increase of 2.2 percent, totaling 6.26 trillion won. However, data for the net profit was not available at this time.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the operating profit far exceeded expectations, surpassing the average estimate by 318.9 percent, as revealed by a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency. The company has announced that it will release its final earnings report at a later date.
