Seoul: LS Electric Co. on Thursday reported a fourth-quarter net profit of 62.8 billion won (US$43.7 million), marking a 44.1 percent increase from the same period last year. The company announced these figures in a regulatory filing, highlighting significant growth in its financial performance for the October-December period.
According to Yonhap News Agency, LS Electric also reported an operating profit of 119.9 billion won for the quarter, reflecting a 76.1 percent increase compared to the previous year. Sales for the period rose 31.9 percent, reaching 1.35 trillion won. Despite these impressive figures, the earnings fell short of market expectations. Analysts, as surveyed by Yonhap Infomax, had anticipated a net profit of 64.4 billion won.
