Market Movement: KOSPI 200 Sees Significant Fluctuations Across Multiple Sectors

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed notable shifts in its closing prices, showcasing both upward and downward trends across various companies. Among the prominent gainers were HYOSUNG HEAVY and HANWHA AEROSPACE, while LS ELECTRIC and DOOSAN experienced considerable declines.

According to Yonhap News Agency, HYOSUNG HEAVY saw a rise of 7,000, closing at 863,000, while HANWHA AEROSPACE surged by 22,000 to reach 878,000. These increases marked significant positive movements in the industrial and aerospace sectors. SK hynix also demonstrated a strong performance with an increase of 7,000, closing at 293,000.

In contrast, LS ELECTRIC experienced the largest drop, decreasing by 11,500 to settle at 284,000. DOOSAN also faced a substantial decline, falling by 8,000 to 659,000. Other companies such as Mobis and HyundaiEng and Const also saw reductions, with decreases of 3,000 and 2,200, respectively.

Additionally, HD HYUNDAI MIPO and S-Oil reported gains, with HD HYUNDAI MIPO rising by 9,500 to 198,000 and S-Oil climbing by 300 to 58,200. Meanwhile, significant decreases were observed in KIA CORP. and Hanwha, which fell by 2,000 and 2,300, closing at 99,100 and 89,900, respectively.

The report highlighted that some companies remained stable, such as Hanssem and OCI Holdings, which saw no change in their closing prices. This mixed performance across the index reflects the varied responses of different sectors to current market conditions.
