McDonald’s Korea, the local unit of fast-food giant McDonald’s Corp., has resumed sales of french fries, about a week after suspending sales due to concerns about “substandard” frozen potatoes, according to the company on Thursday.
McDonald’s Korea halted sales of french fries on June 20 because of “concerns about substandard frozen potatoes,” but resumed sales on Wednesday, the company said in a brief statement posted on its website.
McDonalds’ Korea previously suspended sales of french fries in 2021 and 2022 due to global supply chain issues in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Last month, McDonald’s Korea raised the prices of 16 menu items by an average of 2.8 percent.
The price of the signature Big Mac increased from 6,900 won (US$5.20) to 7,200 won.
