Pyongyang: North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has returned home after a diplomatic trip to China, where he attended a military parade and held summits with Chinese and Russian leaders. This was reported by Pyongyang's state media on Friday. Kim's visit was part of his efforts to engage with other world leaders on a multilateral stage.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Kim Jong-un arrived in Pyongyang on the afternoon of September 5, following his visit to the People's Republic of China. The Korean Central News Agency released a brief report confirming his return. Photographs from the North's official news agency captured Kim alighting from his private train, accompanied by his daughter, Ju-ae.
This trip marks Kim's fifth visit to China, his last being in January 2019. Notably, it was the first time Kim appeared on a multilateral diplomatic stage, and his daughter Ju-ae's presence has sparked discussions about her potential role as the future leader in the North Korean political hierarchy.
