Pyongyang: North Korea's Vice Foreign Minister Kim Son-gyong will attend the ongoing United Nations General Assembly to represent the country, the North's state media reported Friday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, a delegation led by Kim departed Pyongyang the previous day for the 80th U.N. General Assembly, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said. It is the first time in seven years for North Korea to send its senior diplomat from Pyongyang to the annual U.N. gathering. Kim is reportedly scheduled to deliver a speech on Monday (local time).
