Beijing: North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is anticipated to stand alongside Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin at a significant military parade in China this week, as reported by Seoul’s spy agency.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Kim is expected to arrive in Beijing on Tuesday afternoon after crossing the border between North Korea and China at dawn. The National Intelligence Service (NIS) revealed this information to lawmakers during a closed-door briefing. It is suggested that Kim Jong-un might be accompanied by his wife, Ri Sol-ju, and his sister, Kim Yo-jong, on this trip.
The NIS further disclosed that North Korea is likely to send approximately 6,000 additional soldiers to Russia as part of a third batch of troop deployments to support Moscow’s ongoing war with Ukraine. The agency noted that around 2,000 North Korean troops have been estimated to have been killed in combat so far. Since October of the previous year, North Korea has dispatched about 13,000 troops along with conventional weapons to aid Russia’s military efforts.
