Seoul: Naver Corp. on Friday reported its second-quarter net income of 497.4 billion won (US$358.7 million), reflecting a 49.8 percent increase from the same period last year. The company shared these figures in a regulatory filing, highlighting its strong financial performance for the April-June period.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Naver's operating income for the second quarter reached 521.6 billion won, marking a 10.3 percent rise compared to the previous year. Additionally, sales increased by 11.7 percent, totaling 2.91 trillion won. These results surpassed market expectations, as analysts had projected an average net profit of 430.9 billion won, based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
