Seoul: Netmarble Corp. on Thursday reported its second-quarter net income of 160.2 billion won (US$116 million), marking a 1.3 percent decrease from the previous year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's operating profit for the April-June period was 101.1 billion won, reflecting a 9.1 percent decline from the same period last year. Additionally, sales decreased by 8.2 percent to 717.6 billion won.
Despite the downturn, Netmarble's earnings surpassed market expectations. Analysts had projected an average net profit of 75.5 billion won, as per a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data arm of Yonhap News Agency.
