Seoul: NH Investment and Securities Co. on Thursday reported its third-quarter net profit of 283.1 billion won (US$198.4 million), marking an 83.8 percent increase from the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's operating profit for the July-September period reached 391.3 billion won, reflecting a 107.9 percent rise from the previous year. The company's sales also saw a 15 percent increase, amounting to 2.71 trillion won.
The reported earnings surpassed market expectations, as analysts had estimated an average net profit of 229 billion won, based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
