Seoul: OCI Holdings Co. on Wednesday reported its first-quarter net loss of 17.4 billion won (US$12.2 million), shifting from a profit of 38.5 billion won a year earlier. The financial downturn marks a significant change in the company's performance compared to the previous year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company disclosed in a regulatory filing that its operating profit for the January-March period fell 73.6 percent year-on-year to 10.2 billion won. Additionally, sales experienced a slight decline of 0.3 percent, totaling 538.8 billion won. The figures highlight the challenges OCI Holdings faced in the first quarter, signaling potential hurdles for the remainder of the fiscal year.
