Seoul: Prime Minister Kim Min-seok held a meeting with Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono on Thursday, during which they discussed ways to expand bilateral ties, officials said.
According to Yonhap News Agency, during the meeting, Kim conveyed his anticipation for the visit of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto to the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in South Korea. This visit is seen as a key opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the two nations.
Sugiono, in response, expressed his commitment to cooperating for the successful hosting of the APEC summit, as conveyed by Kim's office. This mutual cooperation highlights the importance of collaborative efforts in international events and the role they play in enhancing diplomatic relations.
Kim emphasized the existing close ties between South Korea and Indonesia in various sectors, including defense, energy, and people-to-people exchanges. He expressed optimism that this partnership will continue to expand across multiple fronts, contributing to mutual growth and development.
