PM discusses bilateral ties with Slovak FM

Prime Minister Han Duck-soo met with the Slovak foreign minister in Seoul on Monday to discuss their bilateral ties and regional issues, Han’s office said.

During the meeting with Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar, Han requested exceptional attention and support for South Korean firms making inroads in the Central European country, the office said.

Blanar highly valued the economic contributions of South Korean firms and expressed his commitment to keenly supporting their activities.

Han also expressed concerns over North Korea and Russia’s illegal military cooperation, which has threatened security not only in the global community but also on the Korean Peninsula.

In return, the minister said the Slovak government supports the peaceful unification of the peninsula and further peaceful solutions in various global conflicts, such as Russia’s protracted war in Ukraine.
