Seoul: Prime Minister Kim Min-seok discussed efforts to enhance cooperation in supply chains, health, and other areas in his meeting with a Mongolian deputy prime minister, officials said.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Kim met with Nyam-osor Uchral, Mongolia's first deputy prime minister and minister of economy and development, for broad discussions on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in supply chains, trade, health, and environment.
Kim expressed hope that the upcoming launch of the South Korea-Mongolia Rare Metals Cooperation Center, set for next month, will play an important role in supply chain collaboration and that ongoing negotiations on a bilateral economic partnership agreement will soon make further progress.
Kim also asked for Mongolia's support for South Korea's peace efforts toward the Korean Peninsula.
Uchral, in turn, said his country welcomes cooperation with South Korea in such fields as critical minerals, investment, and people-to-people exchanges. He expressed hope that working with Seoul, through active high-level exchanges, will serve to bolster cooperation in ways that would benefit the people of both countries.
